Horror Double Features Perfect for the Drive-In

AMC’s Horror Hacker has a terrific list of movies that would be great back-to-back at the drive-in. I’m assuming there is no drive-in within a gajillion miles of you, so you’ll have to watch them at home on DVD!
Night of the Living Dead with Shaun of the Dead? Of course!

By the way, if you’re into drive-ins, or you want to know more about this crazy concept of which I speak, check out Water Winter Wonderland. They’re compiling photos and stories about old drive-ins and theaters around the U.S. like the one above.

I hadn’t really given it much thought until now, but I suppose I should really ponder Tom Hanks’ hair and so should you.
Fandango has a cursory look to get you started.
But this post from The Jay.com a few years back is like your Tom Hanks hair wiki. It’s got photos, analysis and commentary on the different styles and their impact on Hanks’ career.

Many, many moons ago there was a great skit on Saturday Night Live where Steve Martin was the host of a gameshow. The answers to the questions weren’t the correct ones, they were actually things people incorrectly believed. I can’t remember the name of the game show, but their catch phrase was "It’s not what you know, it’s what you THINK you know."
Along that same line, The Guardian has a good list of the Top Ten misquoted Movie Lines. Pretty close to half of them are from genre films.
You can relax - That line you always use from Pretty Woman isn’t on the list.
This time it is quite personal as well. AGAIN! (Part XII)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine did really well over its first weekend. Obviously, we need a sequel! And, of course, a musical – Hugh Jackman may star in the new movie version of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel.
The new Star Trek trailers are doing well. Obviously, we need a sequel!
That new Terminator movie sounds really cool. Sequel!
Sequel is one of those funny words.
If you type it, or say it often enough, it starts to lose meaning and it looks like you’re spelling it wrong.
See?
Sequel is almost as funny a word as ‘Remake‘ or ‘Reimagining‘.
See what I mean? None of it makes any sense anymore, does it?

Stuff you really need to see before Tuesday.
People in Texas reported seeing a fireball in the sky Sunday and called authorities to say they saw falling debris. Searchers found nothing and the government isn’t saying yet if it was related to those satellites crashing into each other last week.
Why did Mulder and Skully retire so soon? They’d get to the bottom of this.
Speaking of international collisions, British and French nuclear submarines ran into each other somewhere in the Atlantic earlier this month. Both of the subs were loaded with nuclear missiles. (Insert your own ‘The French have nuclear missiles?” reaction here.)
Check out some really cool unofficial Star Wars shirts over at teenormous.
IconoCritic shows has this post about 9 unknown movies to check out in 2009. I hadn’t heard of any of this and several look great. Moon, Surrogates and Hunter Prey especially sound like they could be good.
io9 has shots of the new Transformers toys revealed at the 2009 Toy Fair. These are from the upcoming movie, Revenge of the Fallen. From the looks of it, the film will feature Devastator, a giant Transformer made of up construction vehicles.
SciFi Watch asks “Are Movies Getting Lazy?” and provides visuals.
Speaking of which, the new version of Friday the 13th was #1 over the weekend.
